Stipend & Benefits

Peak Behavioral Health strives to provide a supportive training environment that promotes both professional development and personal well-being. Doctoral psychology interns receive an annual stipend of $37,000, paid bi-weekly throughout the 12-month internship year.

Interns are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Medical Insurance
Health insurance benefits are available in accordance with organizational eligibility requirements.

Dental Insurance
Dental insurance coverage is available to eligible interns.

Vision Insurance
Vision insurance coverage is available to eligible interns.

Short-Term Disability Insurance
Paid short-term disability insurance is provided to eligible interns.

Professional Liability Coverage
Professional liability coverage is provided while interns are functioning within the scope of their internship duties.

Paid Time Off & Professional Development Leave

Interns accrue up to 10 days of paid leave annually.

Of these days, 3 days are designated for professional development activities, which may include:

  • Conference attendance

  • Dissertation defense

  • Licensure preparation

  • Other approved educational experiences

Each intern receives up to $500 in professional development funding to support attendance at an approved professional conference.

Paid Holidays

Peak Behavioral Health observes the following paid holidays:

  • New Year's Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Day after Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

Peak Behavioral Health offices are also generally closed during the week between Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Holiday schedules are reviewed annually and communicated to interns before the beginning of each training year.

Technology & Training Resources

Peak provides the technology and resources necessary to support interns throughout the training year, including:

  • Computer

  • Electronic health record access

  • Psychological assessment platforms

  • Organizational email

  • Administrative support

Peak Behavioral Health maintains intern stipend and benefits independent of the amount of revenue generated by an intern. Internship positions are established for training purposes, with protected time for supervision, didactic training, professional development, documentation, and scholarly activities.
